The weatherman said it was going to freeze last night.
I swaddled my three best tomato plants the best I could.
I plan to tuck them in tonight as well.
Bruce had some chopped wood delivered to our house.
We started the fireplace this week...we will again tonight.
I have gardening to do...next week.
There was so much beauty in today.
I couldn't help but see it.
Not just in the beauty of the earth, but upon those in my path.
It showed up in my weekly coffee date with a friend.
{The one that takes place during Talia's storyhour time at the library.}
And later in the morning, when another friend and I got to catch up...
completely unscheduled. Face to face, not text to text.
All blessings.
I'm finding myself very content today.
Confession: contentment in the dailyness is hard for me to come by.
I must give credit where credit is due.

To God Be the Glory, great things he has done.
And will continue to do.
Beautiful photos, Kimberlee!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I agree!
To God Be the glory, great things he has done!
I'm so glad you had such a great day my friend ... "Godliness with contentment is great gain" (I Timothy 6:6) ... and I'm in agreement as well "To God be the glory"! :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful fall photos! glad you could enjoy such a wonderful day of contentment.
ReplyDeleteCapturing the beauty with a lens and with words makes it all more beautiful and sticks with me.
ReplyDeleteI bundled my plants too...but decided I was ready to let go of summer and my tomato plants as well (sad face). I'm so glad you had a wonderful day and embraced it!
ReplyDeleteCelebrating contentment with you - glad that it found you on this Wednesday.
ReplyDeletethose are good days.
ReplyDeletei wish i could boast of them more, too.
but lotsa times i just barely make it.
i look forward to heaven on those sad discontent days.
there we will always be content (among other things, im sure: :)
but for now you had a TINY slice of heaven on earth just to remind you of what's to come, friend.
Ahhhh, Kimberlee. I love this. I am with you on finding content in the every-day-ness. But, He is present in EVERYTHING. To God Be the Glory. Amen. Thank you for your prayers. You have truly blessed me and I am thankful for YOU.
ReplyDeleteThose days are soul-filling!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like yours was definitely
a lovely one.
I also sometimes have trouble finding
peace in the day-to-day.
And it's days like those that
sustain me on those days where it's not as easy
to find that contentment.
He is always so good!
xo,
Keri
me too. at a time when i'm really bogged down in daily-ness, this was good to hear.
ReplyDeleteThat is the next book on my list! I will read it with you!
ReplyDeletei have a sneaking suspicion that heaven may look a lot like kansas in the fall.
ReplyDeleteat least the block that i'll be living on ;)
