I just want to curl up with a book, and then nap away the day.
Unfortunately, that's not in the plan for me today.
I laughed out loud.
And I wanted to add it to our library.
I didn't want to wait because seeing him in print brought back so many memories.
You see, Shel is a literary family friend. He was there (not literally) on that day eight years ago when we brought Ella home from the hospital. We began to read Where the Sidewalk Ends to her and to ourselves. His poems and drawings brought some humor into our lives when nothing made sense. Shel fit right in to our world turned upside down.
This week I'd like to give his new book, Every Thing On It, to one of you.
To enter answer this question in the comment section:
Who have been literary friends of yours? Name one, and at least one of their books.
I'll randomly choose a winner on Thursday, October 13th at 12:00 pm. (CST.)
One entry per person.
Have a fabulous week!
