WORD.

Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions.
Don't worry about missing out.
You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Ten On Ten:: September 2012

Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month.
Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments.

Coffee really does taste better in a new mug.
Thanks Brooke and Rebecca.

I hung this Michelle Allen clock in my kitchen.
My girls LOVE it. I love it.

A cupcake that's a clock...what's not to love???

I finished a craft I started over the weekend!
They are wood and the other side I painted with chalkboard paint.
If you want to make one too, you can buy them here.

I watched my favorite movie for the 122,212 time.

We waited outside for Ella to come home from school.

And listened while Ella told us about her day.
"Pizza for lunch!"
A sweet neighbor brought me cookies and oh. my. goodness. They were good!
That same neighbor showed up at my house with a Happy Hour Sonic drink.
She's pretty much my favorite right now.

Ella worked hard at her spelling homework...and guess what? She's loving it.
This is an answer to our prayers!!!!

The girls and I poured over the book order forms. Tonight we'll get our markers and make dream lists for birthdays and Christmas.

I ended the day by going to yoga class.

It was a very low key Monday. Praise the Lord for those.
They really are few and far between, so when they come, they are thee best gift ever. I hope your Tuesday turns out to be that kind of gift, too.

Right now...

Right now I'm at the Craft House...
listening to Meg and Michelle Allen laugh in the Craft Room. I wonder what they are talking about???
sitting at the kitchen farm table.
drinking a margarita
thinking in 20 minutes 12 new friends are going to walk through the door!
wanting to serve them with everything I have.
needing to brush my teeth
thankful for friends who pray for us every time we host a Craft Weekend
wearing a maroon shirt from Banana Republic Outlet that is five or more years old (and thinking, who wears maroon anymore?) and skinny jeans.
praying for my girls who are at home
feeling happy that we are celebrating our one year Craft Weekend anniversary this weekend
Craft Weekend September 11, 2011
Our first group.
:)
dreaming of what Ashley's welcome home party with her new daughter will be like
wondering if I will get time to craft this weekend and...
hoping I do! We are doing some amazing new things!
loving that it's the season for candy corn and peanuts again. Guess what we're snacking on this weekend?

How about you?
What are you doing this weekend...what are you doing right now?

Back to Preschool.

Talia was up, dressed, teeth brushed, hair combed, socks and shoes on, wearing her backpack and begging to be photographed by 7:15 this morning. Today was the first day of preschool and this girl was ready.

At 7:50, I walked into her classroom (Bruce was a minute behind us) and asked Talia if I could take a picture.
That was a mistake.
I should've never asked.
I was denied.

DENIED HARD.
Well, guess what?
I will not be denied.

"All kids in the United States get their picture taken on the first day of school in their classroom. It's the rules, " I said.
And then I snapped a picture.

She then hugged me and shooed me out the door before Bruce could even make an entrance. I met him in the hallway and told him we were "dismissed".

Dismissed, dropped, burned, dumped, left out in the cold, deserted, passed over, yesterday's news...that was us today.

It could've been a lot worse.
:)
