WORD. {Unexpected Week}

On Wednesday morning, I woke up and the right side of my face was puffy and slightly droopy. See?

My doctor decided to run the full tests to make sure that I hadn't had a stroke, since that runs in my family. I was admitted to the hospital for 24 hours while they ran the tests. Minus the shot in my stomach and the blood draws, it was a bit of a vacation for me.
I'm home now.
And I'm fine.
They believe that the nerves in my face went crazy due to a sinus infection.
That's it.
Don't worry about me.
I'm going to work today.
I'm prepping for Craft Weekend, which starts a week from today. :)
I'm marveling at God's Word.
He gave me Psalm 29:11, and I wrote it up on our chalkboard on Monday.
On Wednesday I had strength and peace because of the Word.
His love is intentional.
He wastes nothing in our lives.
It's all for His good, and that makes me love Him even more.

Happy Weekend to you. :)

  1. How scary! Glad you are okay! Love that verse..thanks for the reminder!

  2. Oh wow! I am glad you are ok, how scary. Thanks for the word and Happy Weekend to you too!!!

  3. Praise God all is well! Love you!

  4. UM WHAT?!?!?!?!

Love you praying for you and love you!

  5. i love that HE gave you that verse.
    i needed it too!
    thanks for sharing.
i am glad you are alive....and that cheesecake is good.

  6. oh my gosh. girlfriend, that is no FUN. i'm SO relieved to hear that it was just a sinus infection gone rogue.
i get those ALL the time. no clue that this could happen, major boo. get well soon. praying for you, seriously.

love that you are "marveling at his word" this week i have been doing the same. spent some time praising God that he has given me such a joy and hunger for His word this year! that he would continue to do so, and that he would protect that joy that i have! woot! praying the same for you.

    LOVE IT :)

see know, a week from today! :)

  7. Every time we go camping my WHOLE face looks like that. I call it my turtle face. Something about sleeping on the ground...near all the allergens...but it would be super scary to wake up and find just half of your face affected. I'm so glad you're a mini-vacation out of the deal. :)

  8. OH MAN! I almost JUST bought those slippers!!! But I put them back. Why?? Oh why didn't I buy them???

and with a puffy sided face, you are still so beautiful

stay strong and you are in my prayers!

  9. Oh, friend - what a scare!
I'm *so* glad you are ok and you were left with His peace.
Your sentence "He wastes nothing in our lives" gave me chills.
    It's so true.

I am not afraid to admit that I am a little jealous of all those girls
    coming to CW2 next weekend.
I know it will be fab, just like #1.

And, just to torture myself, I have to know...
are you making the pb cake?

  10. So glad you are ok. My first thought was bells palsey . .. jason had that with the droopy face way back when he had his fall. Glad you were able to see the good in the little "vacation" time you got!!

  11. So glad you are better! I didn't hear you were a few doors down until yesterday, after you were released :) Pretty sure I still have the IV "ding, ding, ding" in my head.

  12. whoa. what a scare.
    glad you are ok kimberlee.

  13. Glad you are better! Using your "beard" idea with kids tomorrow!. Janice

  14. Oh my goodness!!! So glad you are ok! I was just out walking & thinking of you. I had to come in & check up on you. ;) Wish I was coming to Craft Weekend again!!

  15. Yes, intentional. That is a beautiful way to describe God's love for us. We sang Oh How He Loves Us this morning and I was smitten with the verse "I don't have time for regrets" because Oh How He Loves Us. True, right? If we truly grasp the depths of His love for us (and our ability to share that with others) it doesn't/shouldn't leave us with much for regret (I'll insert frustration, pettiness, etc. here too!). Puts some perspective into my parenting for the week! :-)

I'm glad he loved you through this scare, and that you found peace and strength. I'm really glad you are okay, and that you have an extra reason to count your blessings tonight.

Have fun preparing for craft weekend. I sure would love to come to one someday. Looks like TONS of fun!!!!
(And....don't tell Meg.....I want to kidnap Waffle because I have a big crush on him. Cutest dog I've ever seen.)

  16. Love the verse. Glad all is well.

  17. I am so glad you took precautions & went in...I know I would struggle with what to do.
So glad that it was NOT a stroke...those sinus infections fight dirty...I am fighting one currently that the antibiotic didnt kill completely.

I hope you are doing well, you look busy, busy, busy in more recent posts...
good thing you got a little "vacation" :) What a way to look on the bright side...

  18. oh goodness! i am so glad everything is ok!

  19. How did I miss this?! Thank God you're ok - so scary!! Praying for you, friend!!
