WORD. {Unexpected Week}

On Wednesday morning, I woke up and the right side of my face was puffy and slightly droopy. See?

My doctor decided to run the full tests to make sure that I hadn't had a stroke, since that runs in my family. I was admitted to the hospital for 24 hours while they ran the tests. Minus the shot in my stomach and the blood draws, it was a bit of a vacation for me.
I'm home now.
And I'm fine.
They believe that the nerves in my face went crazy due to a sinus infection.
That's it.
Don't worry about me.
I'm going to work today.
I'm prepping for Craft Weekend, which starts a week from today. :)
I'm marveling at God's Word.
He gave me Psalm 29:11, and I wrote it up on our chalkboard on Monday.
On Wednesday I had strength and peace because of the Word.
His love is intentional.
He wastes nothing in our lives.
It's all for His good, and that makes me love Him even more.

Happy Weekend to you. :)

  7. Every time we go camping my WHOLE face looks like that. I call it my turtle face. Something about sleeping on the ground...near all the allergens...but it would be super scary to wake up and find just half of your face affected. I'm so glad you're okay...got a mini-vacation out of the deal. :)

  9. Oh, friend - what a scare!
I'm *so* glad you are ok and you were left with His peace.
Your sentence "He wastes nothing in our lives" gave me chills.
    It's so true.

I am not afraid to admit that I am a little jealous of all those girls
    coming to CW2 next weekend.
I know it will be fab, just like #1.

And, just to torture myself, I have to know...
are you making the pb cake?

  15. Yes, intentional. That is a beautiful way to describe God's love for us. We sang Oh How He Loves Us this morning and I was smitten with the verse "I don't have time for regrets" because Oh How He Loves Us. True, right? If we truly grasp the depths of His love for us (and our ability to share that with others) it doesn't/shouldn't leave us with much for regret (I'll insert frustration, pettiness, etc. here too!). Puts some perspective into my parenting for the week! :-)

I'm glad he loved you through this scare, and that you found peace and strength. I'm really glad you are okay, and that you have an extra reason to count your blessings tonight.

Have fun preparing for craft weekend. I sure would love to come to one someday. Looks like TONS of fun!!!!
(And....don't tell Meg.....I want to kidnap Waffle because I have a big crush on him. Cutest dog I've ever seen.)

So glad that it was NOT a stroke...those sinus infections fight dirty...I am fighting one currently that the antibiotic didnt kill completely.

I hope you are doing well, you look busy, busy, busy in more recent posts...
good thing you got a little "vacation" :) What a way to look on the bright side...
