You Don't Disappoint

Thanks to all of you who posted comments on what to do about the decorating dilemmas for my dining room. (Click here for yesterday's post.)

I am going shopping with a friend today and hope to come home with something for my windows, and potentially something for my walls. Those who know me well, know that I have to love what I put up. Blank walls are a way of life around here. Now that I have some ideas, maybe I can be a bit more....focused.

Perhaps I will find a few treasures at our local ReStore.
My friend hasn't been there before, and I can't wait to take her!

But first I am doing carpool this morning.
Gotta scoot.
Which is different from the scoots.
You know what I mean.
Why did I even go THERE???

But seriously, if you could hire someone to help you decorate a room in your house, which room would they help you with? And because this is hypothetical, tell me what things you would specifically change. Hypotheticals don't have budgets. :)

  1. i would gut my main floor. have a HUGE family room, plasma tv on the wall, WOOD burning fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, gorgeous real wood hard wood floors, a funky big area rug. then add on my dream master suite with a massive walk in closet and huge master bath. the master bath would have a jacuzzi tub, of course, walk-in shower, double sinks with a big mirror and then a separate vanity with a cute small chair and mirror for myself to get ready in the morning. and a deck outside of the master suite, of course, ooh and a hot tub. this was on a no budget, right? 1 can dream! :) can you tell I dream of this often. ha!

  3. In this house I would do my basement. . . . I'd make it a great hang out / kid friendly space with a big chalkboard on a wall, Meg's coffee table for art projects, flat screen on the wall, NEW flooring or any kind.
Hope you found some fun stuff today. I didn't comment yesterday but I think you should leave your chairs and paint your table . . . have fun sanding that thing. :)) What a fun space to work with.
