His Autumnal Love Language

Brach's Candy Corn (and salted peanuts...don't try it. You won't be able to stop.  If you don't want to eat this because you're trying to lose weight or you don't want someone else to eat it because you want them to lose weight, purchase any other candy corn brand not made by Brach and no one will think twice about a second handful. In fact, they'll probably just push them into your couch cushions when you're not looking. I'm completely full of advice today, aren't I?

This is Bruce's autumnal love language. Having it in the house makes him feel loved. He didn't tell me this. It's just something I've picked up on. We started shoveling it in this week, and it will be a staple adult snack at our house until Halloween...or potentially Thanksgiving. I hope come Christmas his love language is pants with elastic waistbands worn by yours truly.

  1. Salty & Sweet - the combo gets me every time. Oh, how I love fall and all it's treats: candy corn, pumpkin desserts, trick or treat candy. mmmmm

  2. You are hilarious and SO right...it HAS to be Brach's or it's couch cushion-worthy. I am a sucker for candy corn. Sugar in the form of wax.

  5. I shouldn't be up checking blogs but I'm glad I did because your "elastic pants" comment had me laughing. Glad Bruce is feeling the love.

  6. Love that combination in the fall -- hate candy corn alone, but with the peanuts -- oh yeah! enjoy!

  7. oh, you just made me miss home!

my family makes this every year (except we add chocolate chips!) and eats it as long as there is candy corn in the store!

i'm living in Africa this year though, so i guess that's one more thing to add to the list of "things we'll miss from home"!
