Take a photo every hour for ten consecutive hours on the tenth of each month.
Document a day of your life and find beauty among the ordinary moments.
I instantly loved the idea--- even though I am not a photographer. Someday my girls will be able to look back and remember what a day in our life was like when they were seven and two and a half.
Someday I'll be able to look back and wonder why I was Screaming, Running, Naked half the time.
Someday I'll be able to look back and wonder why I was Screaming, Running, Naked half the time.
What I have learned about today is that there really is beauty in the ordinary things of my life including: fly swatters, spinach, and ceiling fans. And if I stop and pay attention once in awhile, it's amazing what my eyes see that my camera cannot. This causes me to stop and think, what else am I missing? I look forward to finding out.
Visiting from 10 on 10! My favorite is the crayons on the floor! So, is that the book you used to get your cute haircut? Before I even looked at you 10 on 10 I saw your profile pic and immediately thought, "CUTE hair!"
ReplyDeleteWhat great shots! And yikes - it is HOT there... oh, dear :D
ReplyDeleteThese pics make me so happy!!!! Just like you said...beauty in ordinary things. Thanks for the reminder, my goal today is to be aware of just those things. And what treasures you've got in some of those pics...way to go, who said you weren't a photographer!?!?! Love ya!

ReplyDeleteLove it -- sort of been my theme this past year - finding the goodness in the ordinary. Have you ever read "Cold Tangerines"? - you'd love it.

ReplyDeleteReminds me of one of my favorite quotes that I have hanging in our living room "Enjoy the little things in life for one day you'll look back and realize they were the big things."
